    Summary

    Provides day-to-day executional support to the internal account and client teams with a particular emphasize on promotional activity management and providing finance/budget support. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, be proactive, possess outstanding written and oral communication skills and great attention to detail.

    What You'll Do

    • With the support of Account Executive, Project Management and Finance Manager, the Assistant Account Executive will manage the following:
      • Open jobs (for non-program specific related work)
      • Create redemption estimates for all couponing activity
      • Track promocodes, deductions, redemptions and reconciliation couponing activity
      • Work with a deductions broker, and the client, to coordinate the billing/ payment of all Target run programs and coupons
      • Track financial forecasting, report and flag any potential income variance
      • Create and maintain electronic files of key project documents
    •  Manage data entry in Target’s offer management system
    •  Manage coupon calendar and redemption tracking; including timing, offer details, forecasting and analysis
      • Keep an up-to-date tracker of all couponing activity
    • Support account team and relevant departments for all client needs, including but not limited to, scheduling client calls, coordinating logistics for client meetings, taking notes in client meetings and compiling presentations
    • Assist in program scorecard development
    • Assist with competitive analysis including
      • Check in-store displays and report findings to team
      • Research and report on competitors’ marketing strategies and tactics
      • Consolidate and manage monthly findings report reviews
    • Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense
    • Be well versed in any/all internal systems to help manage projects from beginning to end
    • Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor and team lead

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising or marketing; finance or accounting
    • Experience working in an agency setting or marketing or finance-related field
    • Strong understanding of finance/budget management
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
    • Understanding of the agency process and department roles and processes
    • Foundational knowledge of the client’s business, objectives, products and category
    • Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly and succinctly both verbally and in written form
    • Strong attention to detail and organization, demonstrated through actions such as:
      • Effectively proofing own and others work to ensure accuracy
      • Actively and effectively managing timelines, budgets and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously, some with short turnaround times
      • Developing and archiving all key project documents in an easy to identify format for historical reference
    • Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
      • Providing regular and thorough updates to manager and team
      • Anticipating potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicating concerns and developing solutions
      • Identifying ways to improve agency and team processes
