    A key member of the Strategy and Digital Commerce teams. You bring best-in-class digital and ecommerce strategic thinking and ideas to Geometry clients. Our projects are very varied, from big thinking strategic projects, Digital Commerce playbooks and assets to omnichannel commerce strategies that seamlessly span brick and mortar, social, mobile and retail.com platforms. We deliver best-in-class digital experiences which drive growth for our clients.


    You’re a natural collaborator who loves to teach others what you do – be they clients, creative peers or business leads. You are adept at partnering with our creative, account and strategy teams to produce digital commerce strategy plans. The role requires an ability to provide strategic direction, inspiration and leadership to the team and champion creative thinking at all levels. You are passionate about all forms of digital commerce and are naturally curious about the various emerging commerce platforms and technologies that can drive conversion and growth for our clients.


    The key role of the Associate Director, Strategy – Digital Commerce is to support Digital Commerce leadership by leading and driving the Digital Commerce strategy across the North American client engagements and effectively translating business goals and objectives into clear, concise and inspiring creative briefs.


    Uses strategic planning techniques, processes and tools to lead the development of relevant and inspirational creative briefs that solve client challenges within the ecommerce channel. Acts as the voice of the consumer in the planning process. Uncovers key consumer insights and leverages it to develop a powerful marketing strategy. Briefs creative team on assignment.

    What You'll Do

    • Create inspiring, relevant creative briefs for North American digital commerce clients
      • Distill important and relevant data into a summary that informs the creative brief
      • Use research and strategy tools to gather information about the shopper/consumer and culture including keyword harvesting, clickstream data, Nielsen, etc.
      • Define the client’s business challenge, business opportunity and shopper/consumer persona
      • Identify consumer/shopper mindset and behavior to uncover pivotal insight and develop marketing strategy
      • Evaluate creative concepts, ensuring they are on strategy, meet Digital Commerce best practices and deliver on client objectives
      • Presents Digital Commerce strategy section of program ideas and creative concepts to intern teams and to senior clients
      • Evaluate Digital Commerce tactics and media plans against agreed upon strategies to ensure alignment; suggest alternatives where necessary
    • Serve as a Digital Commerce channel, consumer/shopper and culture expert
    • Support client’s annual planning activities and ad hoc requests
    • Use research and planning tools and resources to monitor consumer and retailer trends and help inform agency POVs and proposals by researching and providing supporting insights and facts
    • Be a senior client contact and point of escalation
    • Co-develop and own agency onboarding into digital commerce and communicate importance to our brands
    • Work with new business teams to convert opportunities and pitch new services to new or existing clients
    • Stay up to date on current Digital Commerce industry best-practices & translate into how our clients can adapt for category growth
    • Demonstrate strong business acumen and decision making skills to effectively advise clients on digital strategies
    • Work closely with the other capability leads to build growth strategies for digital innovation

    • 4-6+ years of experience in digital commerce strategic planning; preferably at an agency or brand
    • Proven experience as a senior strategist in a similar agency or brand environment
    • Understanding ecommerce growth strategies across multiple platforms (e.g. Amazon, retail.com, grocery.com)
    • Passion for generating bright ideas and delivering work that sells
    • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, behavioral science field (i.e. sociology, psychology, anthropology) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proficiency with planning database tools and systems such as Simmons, MRI, Kantar, MerchantWords, Salsify, Clavis, Google Data or equivalent, ability to identify appropriate planning tool based on situational need
    • Experience developing ecommerce plans for both Pure Play and Omni-Channel Retailers
    • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams, departments and vendors to successfully accomplish work
    • Proactive approach to bringing new trends, best practices and innovation to the team
    • Ability to analyze results, interpret data, draw sound conclusions, and develop insightful and actionable recommendations
    • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
