    The proofreader is responsible for reading various marketing and advertising materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, coherence and adherence to brand guidelines. He/She is a valuable member of the studio team with the ability to manage a diverse project load while collaborating with studio, creative, account and project management teams.

    What You'll Do

    • Reads print and digital client materials, presentations, copy decks, proofs, internal communications, etc.
    • Reads for: sense, typos, organization, inconsistencies, spelling and word divisions, grammar and usage, punctuation, style, alignment, spacing, format, and font consistencies
    • Referring to the client manuals and dictums; dictionary, style, word and grammar publications; and the Internet, always keeping in mind the preferred style of each individual client
    • Determines that new stages of materials accurately reflect current instructions (comments, changes, etc.). Queries appropriate staff about issues of content or layout.
    • Follows up with team members when questions arise

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Bachelor's degree in communication or other related field. 
    • 1-3 years experience proofreading and editing in an agency environment.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly and succinctly both verbally and in written form
    • Extensive knowledge of AP Style .
    • Strong attention to detail and organization
    • Familiarity with editing symbols
    • Excellent organizational and communication skill
    • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
