    Summary

    Geometry seeks a Senior Copywriter with passion, intelligence and the creative chops to blow away our clients. They’re household names – John Deere, Continental, Bombardier Recreational Products, Nestle, Mazda and many more. The work for them runs the full gamut from concept to execution, and from TV to digital and everything in between.

     

    For decades, our Akron office has been one of the nation’s top activation agencies. We’ve got quite an impressive haul of EFFIES and we continue to add more every year. But we’ve evolved into a B2B and B2C agency that also garners quite a few ADDYS.

     

    You’ll be joining a strong and high-performing copy team where there’s plenty of opportunity for growth as well as mentoring others. As a senior member of the team, we expect you to nurture and inspire our junior creatives. You’ll also be a key support to our ECD (who’s also a copywriter).

     

    What You'll Do

    • Championing the role of copy and content
    • Generating concepts with senior creative team members
    • Writing great B2B and B2C copy for print, radio, TV and digital channels
    • Brainstorming with the creative team
    • Presenting and selling ideas to our ECD and clients
    • Helping develop our junior creatives

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Great writing skills with an impressive portfolio, some broadcast would be great
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Journalism or relevant field
    • 3-6 years of copywriting experience
    • Ability to create and present own or others’ work with a clear understanding of the assignment and the strategy
    • Thorough knowledge of current trends, pop culture, current and past design themes
    • Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly and succinctly both verbally and in written form; Can clearly articulate an idea and the reason(s) behind a specific creative direction
    • Ability to provide constructive feedback that is actionable
    • Complete understanding of specified brand(s), brand guidelines, and retailers as they relate to the projects
    • Collaborates well with others; demonstrated through actions such as:
    • Partnering with other Creative team members, including Art Directors and other Copywriters, to complete assigned projects
    • Working with Account and Project Management teams to fully understand client
    • asks and timelines
    • Strong attention to detail and organization, demonstrated through actions such as:
    • Effectively proofing own and others’ work to ensure accuracy
    • Actively and effectively managing timelines and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously, some with short turnaround times
    • Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
    • Anticipating potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicating concerns and developing solutions
    • Actively seeking out additional projects during lull periods
