Summary

The Account Director serves as the account lead for a large client team working across North America. The Account Director is responsible for managing the overall business and ensuring all team members are working together to deliver brilliant work to our clients. The Account Director provides strategic leadership and direction to both the internal team and to our clients across all business units. This role serves as the primary agency contact for the business as it pertains to larger strategic initiatives and assignments often engaging with the SVP client level. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the client and retailers’ businesses to establish oneself and the agency as a trusted resource and channel expert for the client and their partners
  • Utilize client and customer knowledge coupled with keen business sense to grow the business
  • Lead internal and client meetings, deliver presentations and prepare needed materials, including agendas, presentation decks and follow up communications
  • Lead inter-agency team in IMC development with the goal of delivering cohesive and impactful omni-channel campaigns to the client."
  • Brief the creative team either personally or through close oversight of the Account Supervisor
  • Review all agency work prior to submitting to client for review to ensure both customer and brand objectives have been achieved
  • Partner with the internal team in the development of concepts and supporting tactics
  • Secure all necessary client approvals and own preparation of client projects by developing strategy; preparing and presenting proposals, concepts, and other copy and layout elements
  • Work with the client lead to develop measurement criteria for all projects to ensure the work and all team members are meeting the set objectives
  • Manage resources to ensure client profitability
  • Work with client lead for overall staffing/resource allocation
  • Track and revise budgets as needed based on client requests alerting clients of financial implications when necessary

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required
  • 8-10+ years agency experience with a focus in Shopper Marketing Account Leadership
  • 2+ years of Shopper and Customer/Trade marketing experience with a natural channel agency, retailer or manufacturer
  • Agency Account Management experience with a minimum of 1-2 natural brands
  • Strong working knowledge and experience across both conventional and natural channels and key customers from Target and Walmart to Whole Foods
  • Preferred candidates will have interest and passion for natural, purpose-driven brands
  • Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly both verbally and in written form
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and process orientation to effectively manage deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively analyze results, interpret data, draw sound conclusions, and develop insightful and actionable strategic recommendations
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Ability to lead and guide clients and manage expectations effectively by providing sound counsel and identifying and implementing recommendations that advance/improve the business
  • Interest in managing and mentoring junior team members
