Responsible for the successful management and reporting of financial information across multiple clients. The Client Finance Associate partners with account and finance teams to develop and maintain effective project financial status and reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Manage financial reporting for all clients including: billing status reports, hours summary reports, retainer tracking, managing and coordinating month end client reporting requirements and ad hoc requests
  • Track project and SOW status with client teams
  • Participate in month –end close as it relates to revenue
  • Follow up with account team members to confirm percentage of completion per project
  • Maintain oversight of client job numbers, estimates and PO’s
  • Conduct monthly status meetings with client teams as it pertains to client retainers and projects adjustments Responsible for billing documentation (billing request forms etc.) and approval processes.
  • Oversee client OOP including travel and intercompany partners
  • Provide ongoing reports to client teams, with a keen understanding to the financial health (the big picture) based on monthly financial performance
  • Work with functional department heads to track finances as needed
  • Stay informed of industry trends, news, applications and best practices
  • Recommend change and process improvements where justifiable
  • Adhere to agency process and Sarbanes-Oxley financial policies; identify ways to improve processes
  • Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense
  • Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ experience (internship) working in an agency setting
  • Successful track record managing multiple projects concurrently. Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines and constraints
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication to clients, internal staff, and executive management
    • Ability to interface with high-level client partners as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills to work efficiently and effectively
    • This applies to personal time management and organizational skills as well as to the ability to extend such practices across a team
  • Excellent consultative skills and an open mind to help develop business solutions for client
    • Ability to translate business strategy into tactics
  • Solid expectation management and conflict resolution skills in a fast paced environment
  • Expertise in the MS Office Professional Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point
  • A dynamic personality and ability to shift modes of operation without compromise
  • Proficient in agency financial system (SAP)
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Develop productive and respectful internal relationships with account team
  • Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as:
    • Provide regular and thorough project updates to team members
    • Anticipate potential problems or obstacles, communicating concerns and solutions
    • Keep abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances and shares out information
