Summary

The Media Planner/Buyer will lead campaign execution for national brands, while aligning strategy and ensuring client objectives are met.  The Media Planner/Buyer is able to work independently, lead media campaign development, and clearly present concepts to peers and clients.

What You'll Do

ESSENTIAL FIUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates media objectives and strategies
  • Recommends channels, placements, targeting, and budgets
  • Develops buying and negotiating strategies for maximizing media dollars
  • Creates media plan flowcharts and media buy authorizations
  • Manages media budgets
  • Explores and evaluates new opportunities
  • Analyzes audit statements and syndicated research at a sophisticated level
  • Works closely with clients throughout entire program to maintain performance and resolve any performance issues
  • Provides creative analysis
  • Monitors ad tracking and trafficking services
  • Uses campaign data to optimize ad performance
  • Maintains relationships with publishers, networks, and agency partners
  • Share new and relevant advertising opportunities in written and verbal form to the media department
  • Strategizes ways to most effectively use digital media dollars to the greatest benefit for our clients.
  • Keeps up with and advises clients on the latest trends in interactive media.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of media planning/buying experience
  • Good writing and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiating skill
  • Knowledge of interactive media, including social platforms 
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through
  • Experience with online research tools
  • Familiarity with offline media concepts
