Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The AAE provides general support to the account management team, providing assistance across all client deliverables as well as internal projects that contribute thought leadership specific to the client’s business.

 

 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Learn agency processes and ensure they are followed

• Maintain historical assets in well-organized and easily assessable library/server

• Work with Project Management to effectively route and obtain approvals of copy, layout/artwork, media plans and production materials

• Collaborate with account team, Project Management for project schedules

• Communicate job status and scheduling changes to account team and relevant departments (i.e. Creative, Production, Finance, etc.)

• Write conference reports and update team status reports

• Build a foundation of knowledge for the client’s business, products and category

• Keep team fully informed of account activity, challenges and opportunities ongoing

 

CLIENT SERVICE

• Support account team and relevant departments for all client needs

• Begin to develop client services prowess

• Learn team dynamics to maximize efficiencies

 

FINANCE MANAGEMENT

• Help Account team oversee Project Management team to ensure project workload is fully estimated, signed and billable

• Partner with Project Management to track financial forecasting, report and flag any potential income variance to senior management

• Track budgets and coordinate financial reporting with CFC, imparting knowledge from day-to-day interactions with account team to make sure all are fully updated and working toward aligned visions and goals

 

STRATEGIC THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

• Assist with competitive analysis

• Begin to learn client category and business objective

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• BA degree or equivalent work experience required

• Specific experience (internship) working in an agency setting, with thorough understanding of department roles and processes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to build relationships internally and with the client teams

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

• Sound analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail with high level of organizational skills

• Ability to be proactive with an intuitive professional nature

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Maturity and judgment to represent the agency and client in a polished, intelligent manner

• Enthusiasm for the promotions/advertising/shopper/marketing at the regional field level
