Summary

Leads analytics-based strategic insights and direction to aid in the development of communications initiatives for clients. Working closely with the Account Management, Creative, Strategy, and Media teams, this position provides an internal consultative perspective on analytical tools, measurement, and testing.

What You'll Do

Primary consultant to account teams (agency and client) on campaign planning and campaign effectiveness, with respect to:Data transformation, extraction, loading; merge formats

  • Define key metrics and set goals
  • Develop test and control methodologies and design  
  • Support the analysis and interpretation of media performance

Lead the development of analytical plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness of communications programs

  • Function as the subject matter expert for analytical tools and techniques, including testing
  • Research innovative and cutting edge techniques and methodologies

Partner with senior Analytics team in the delivery and integration of conclusions and/or recommendations and actionable insights 

  • Create dashboards and/or presentations
  • Identify target populations, tactics

Support agency new business process, as directed

  • Download and verify data quality using Excel
  • Highlight trends in data and communicate to team
  • Complete complex analysis and create compelling visualizations for data

Partner with Analytics team to review reports, data sets, create PowerPoint presentations, data visualizations, report outputs


Lead day-to-day analytics projects and assignments, including:

  • Assist in resource allocation
  • Create and maintain project plans
  • Build report prototypes

Develop analytical plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness of communications programs and communicate to Analytics team via PowerPoint


Recommend and design appropriate analytic methodology and approach based on

  • Business research
  • Discussions with the team
  • Feedback from account and client teams

Review client deliverables for accuracy and manage within timelines
Review the work of junior team members and provide feedback and recommendations
Provide oversight and mentor junior team members
Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of        incurred expense
Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience performing analytics initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills and experience designing analytical solutions to address business problems
  • Proficient knowledge of SAS, SPSS, SQL, or R
  • Critical thinking; drawing conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach
  • Proficient in excel (large data sets; pivot tables, filtering)
  • Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience
  • Ability to build relationships across team, departments, vendors and clients
  • Collaborate and communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills;

  • Strong reporting background demonstrated by the ability to report from various tools conception to delivery (Excel/VBA, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.) and explain what the data is proving or not proving
  • Experience in multi-channel analytics, including web analytics
  • Solid foundation in data mining/statistical techniques
  • Solid understanding of data base management
